Shear is the design that started the Bert Frank journey. Like all first children you develop a special affection for them. You want them to fly, and Shear did. It's still one of our most popular designs, almost certainly because it offers great versatility and functionality. The pendant is very easy on the eye. The wall light and desk lamp offer useful, real-life practicality with such a range of adjustment. The floor lamp has a charismatic presence. Would Frank Lloyd Wright have found space for such a light at Falingwater? It might be hubristic but we like to think so.
