Designed by Hip Studio, RON Gastrobar located on Sophialaan, Amsterdam South, is a Michelin star gastro restaurant and wine bar. This trendy, unpretentious, next-gen urban diner is a place to discover relaxed tapas-style cuisine at its best. Mirroring the menus original combinations and distinctive flavours, the interior design at RON Gastrobar is familiar and yet unique, with an East meets West influence. Clean lines, contrasting hues and a rich palette of materials zone areas.
The cocktail bar has a distinctive Art Deco speakeasy feel. Dark timber panelling clad walls and are adorned with Cask Wall Lights. Central to the space is a glamourous geometric gold panelled and marble top bar. Illuminated with Kernel table lamps in black, counter seated guests can lingering over cocktails under a soft, ambient light.
With a backdrop of oversized palms, dining booths upholstered in a vibrant ochre yellow, paired with glass tables and leather dining chairs create intimate areas for larger groups of guests. Triarc’s hang low above each booth shining a halo of light on to guests and their cuisine below. The roaring 20s influence is apparent.
In contrast, a touch of Eastern exotica is seen in the brilliant red, crushed velvet banquette dining area with green marble café tables, teal herringbone wall panelling and Japanese inspired artwork. Cask Table Lights in this area help exude a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
